Circle of Spirits

Druids of Spirits or “Shamans” are spiritual guides and practitioners, not of the divine, but of the spirit. Unlike some other mystics, shamans commune with forces that are not strictly benevolent. The spirits of beasts are chaotic, and left to their own devices, they rage against one another in unending primal fury. It is the call of the shaman to bring balance to this chaos. Acting as moderators among evil, raging, passionate, and defensive spirits, shamans summon spirits that focus to support the shaman’s allies or punish those who threaten them.

Wisp Companion.

When you choose this circle at 2nd level, you gain a tiny undead companion. As an action, you can call or dismiss the following “base” Wisp. The spirit lasts a number of hours equal to half your Druid level.

If your Wisp Companion dies, you must perform a ritual that takes approximately 8 hours of uninterrupted.

Wisp

Spirit Bond.

Starting at 2nd level, you gain bonuses related to the type of Wisp.

As a bonus action, you can allow your “Wisp Companion” to bind to an ally. The ally then receives the bonus instead of you. The type of Wisp doesn’t alter the Wisp stats.

Ethereal Beast.

Starting at 6th level, you have the ability to transform into a ghost version of the beast form you take with your Wild Shape feature. While in this form you are invisible, gain resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing weapons that are non-magical, and can pass through walls unhindered.

If you make an attack action or cast a spell while in this form you immediately become corporeal again and lose the benefits of this ability.

You must finish a long rest before you can use this ability more a number of times equal to your Wisdom Modifier.

Spirit Channel.

At 10th level, as an action you can expend a Wild Shape use to give yourself or an ally you can see, within 60 feet, a number of bonus hit points equal to 1/4 your Druid level rounded down.

You must finish a long rest before you can use this ability more a number of times equal to your Wisdom Modifier.

Spirit Walker.

By 14th level, as an action you can enter the Ethereal Plane. Add the spell Etherealness to your spells-known. In conjunction with when you Wild Shape you can cast Etherealness on yourself as a Bonus Action.
